Review Policy

I do not review promos etc. All reviews are of releases I have bought. The reason for this is two fold:

• I don't want to be beholden to reviewing any release. Many years ago I received promos for review and felt pressure to review as many as I could
• This almost practically guarantees that all my reviews will be positive - as they are releases I am seeking out.

Rating Scale

• Essential - this should be purchased post haste and needs to be added to your collection
• Recommend - Extremely good release and should be added to your collection but is a lower priority than an essential release.
• Worth your time - If this is the kind of music you enjoy, then you should seek it out and based on that, it could be essential or recommended for that particular listener
• Not for everyone - A release many might not like but some people (based on their tastes) will very much enjoy it.
